Cathedral Area Preservation Association Now Accepting 2021 Scholarship Applications. The application is found HERE
The Cathedral Area Preservation Association of Joliet (CAPA) will award two (2) scholarships to high school seniors residing in the Cathedral Area of Joliet for their pursuit of higher education beyond their high school year.
Applicants must live within the CAPA boundaries, The household must be a registered current CAPA member. Applicants must have attended a Joliet area high school for at least three (3) years.
Supporting documents necessary for the application must include a copy of the high school transcript, a letter of acceptance from a college or university. The college or university need not be a four (4) year institution. An essay of 1000 words, approximately, must also be included. The essay should describe the student’s biggest influence, how that influence affected choices made during their high school years and how that influence may affect future pursuits.

Members actively work to preserve the historic nature of the Cathedral Area of Joliet and participate in a multitude of outreach projects such as the provision of neighborhood improvement grants and community partnerships.
