Calling all high school seniors! CAPA offers two $1,000 scholarships to applicants who are pursuing education beyond high school. Applicants should have attended a Joliet area high school for at least three years and be members of CAPA, Applications are available HERE in late Spring of each year. THAT MEANS NOW!
– Must have attended a Joliet area high school for at least 3 years and are members of CAPA.
– High school transcript
– Letter of Acceptance for higher education. It need not be a 4 yr school.
– Essay, in approximately 1,000 words. As graduating seniors who are pursuing higher education dream of the future abound. The world is constantly changing and evolving. Discuss your dreams and address how your continuing education will help you “change the world”.
The deadline for submissions is April 26, 2022.

In August 2019, the CAPA Board along with Mayor O’Dekirk presented $1,000 scholarships to two Cathedral Area students last night to help them further their education. Nate Schultz and John Ragusa were selected for their outstanding work, exemplary community service, and their alignment with CAPA’s mission.
In August 2018, the CAPA Board presented $1,000 scholarship awards to two neighborhood students as they pursue a higher education. The checks were presented to Ava Wendel and Alexis Samuels by the CAPA board, Mayor O’Dekirk, Councilman Mudron and CAPA’s Scholarship & Grants Director, Andrew Chemers.
